    About the Book

Missional House Churches is a 197-page book published in 2007 by Paternoster in Colorado Springs. The book constitutes a thorough research work on thirty-three evangelistic house churches in the United States providing the reader with the analysis of what is taking place among these churches ensuring growth.

Payne addressed the growth in the popularity of house churches in the United States, what defines the church, the sterling characteristics of house churches, methods of evangelism and leadership development leading to growth, use of finance for mission and benevolence, the future of house churches in North America and the relationship of church planting movements house churches.

Although the North American church life is the case study for Payne’s research findings, Church leaders and individuals who have burning desire for mission should read and internalize the analysis there in. The principles transcend North America and if properly adapted would ensure positive impact in any church life.
